About

Falls Farm Co-op is a farmer-owned, community-supported farm cooperative in the greater Columbia Falls area. We started the co-op to lower the barriers-to-entry into farming by sharing costly resources and time-consuming market presence.

Our mission is to share resources and knowledge that enable small-scale farmers, contribute to resilient, equitable community food systems, and improve agro-ecological relationships in the greater Columbia Falls and Canyon area.

We work with local community-minded landholders who have the ability and desire to lease irrigated cropland to the co-op at minimal costs or in-kind exchange, i.e. in exchange for a farmshare or co-op credit. The land is then sub-leased from the co-op to its members: farmers who otherwise would be prevented from farming, at least in part due to the high cost of land.

All co-op members sign our land stewardship agreement, a commitment to beyond organic, regenerative, and ecological practices that year-over-year increase the health of the soil, care for our valley ecosystem, and consistently yield nutrient-dense food.
